urban dance that is part of the movement of hip hop culture emerged in the Latin American and African American communities in neighborhoods such as the Bronx or Brooklyn, New York at the beginning of the 1970s. It is possibly the dance within the best-known hip-hop style. Break Dance is one of the so-called four elements of hip hop, the others being the MCing (rapping), DJing (or turntablism) and Graffiti.

History
The breakdance was born in the ghettos of America in the early 1980s (Bronx and Brooklyn). African Americans created a dance as a means of expression gathering dances already created, such as the Charleston, bachata, salsa; and also certain martial arts such as capoeira and gymnastics depotiva movements.
Contrary to popular belief, the breakdance is not danced together with the Popping and Locking. These three dances (known as Funkstyles) danced separately and by rule general and especially now, with music of different style. The belief that mixing steps of a style of dance and other dance is derived from the films that led the dance from United States to Europe. Which, to give greater commercialism to his films, joined the three dances in one in the choreographies of the celluloid.
The Breakdance Moves

Origin
Bboying (Break Dance), began as a method of the rival gangs of the ghetto to resolve disputes over the territory. In Europe highlights the Battle of the Year and the UK championship; United States Freestyle Session and the Red Bull BC One international competition.
